Are you ever short with your co-workers and feel like they should be more organized or should contribute more to the team? Maybe you find you are always yelling at your kids? Is your partner constantly pressing your buttons? Anger is a strong emotion but it is also normal and often healthy. With hypnotherapy and breathing techniques you can learn to contain it. Before long you will find that you respond rationally to the things that used to annoy you.
Believe me, I’ve been there. As a single parent, a lot of responsibility fell on my shoulders and some days I was extremely frustrated and fighting for control.
When you are angry your heart rate and blood pressure increases as chemicals such as adrenalin are released into your body. You go into high alert, otherwise known as the “fight, flight, freeze” syndrome, which is very stressful. This usually leads to aggressive behaviour, outbursts, verbal or physical abuse, tense muscles and a clenched jaw.
Anger can be triggered by internal or external events. If you find that anger is getting in the way of your everyday life and the people you love, it is time to do something about it. Not only will you benefit, but those around you will thank you for realizing that it was a problem and congratulate you for doing something about it. Hypnotherapy will improve your ability to move through your day with more ease. It will teach you to not sweat the small stuff. When your behaviour becomes more consistently positive, the people in your life will be less threatened and more likely to cooperate.
I’ll teach you some simple breathing techniques that will help defuse your anger before it fully manifests. We’ll do some hypnosis to change your way of responding to stressful situations. By accessing the unconscious mind, hypnotherapy can often help to identify the root cause of the problem and help you to deal with things in a calm, more relaxed way. As well, I’ll teach you self-hypnosis techniques so you can be sure to relax every day.
